Swarthmore Project

1997 – Swarthmore Avenue underwent a half-million dollar renovation with a new street, new sidewalks/curbs and the addition of Chinese Golden Flame trees with decorative grates, iron street furniture, and antique style lamp posts with hanging flower baskets. Personalized donor paving tiles set into the new sidewalk celebrated the completion of the Swarthmore Project called “The Walk of Pride”.

PRIDE raised $520,000 for this project with generous contributions from the community, property owners, merchants and the City of Los Angeles

DONATE TO P.R.I.D.E. TO SECURE YOUR OWN PERSONALIZED BRICK

Palisades PRIDE is excited to announce we are offering the public an opportunity to be a permanent part of the community by having your own individualized brick. Your engraved brick will reside with over 1,100 other bricks that are replacing the original Swarthmore Donor Tiles on the new Sunset “Walk of PRIDE” that will be located near the corner of Swarthmore and Sunset.

You can personalize your brick – with a unique message, by honoring or remembering a family member or by simply including your name, family name or business name. PRIDE is offering a LIMITED NUMBER of Sunset Donor Bricks on a first come, first serve basis. Proceeds will go toward current and future P.R.I.D.E. beautification projects in our local community.
